1st October Movie Fiesta: Half-price Spectacular(2026)

The Hong Kong Theatres Association (HKTA), with funding support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) and the Film Development Fund, is pleased to announce the strong return of the “1st October Movie Fiesta: Half-Price Spectacular”. On the National Day holiday (1st October), the Association will once again collaborate with all 52 commercial cinemas in Hong Kong. All screenings throughout the day, regardless of screening format or house type, will feature half-price tickets! Moviegoers can enjoy a diverse selection of the latest Chinese and international blockbusters, Hong Kong films, animations, and more at half-price. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

The Association calls on the public to actively participate, check the ticket presale schedule, plan their holiday itineraries, and show their support for Hong Kong cinemas and the film industry with family and friends, while joining together to create a vibrant and festive atmosphere for National Day.

Cinemas reserve the right of final decision in case of dispute.) (Theatre's names are sorted by English alphabetical order)

  Half-price discounts applies to all ticket types on 1 October (excluding private screenings and special events).  Half-price also applies to concessionary tickets for seniors (first show), children, students, and the elderly. After discounts, ticket prices with decimals (cents) will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. All exchange vouchers, movie coupons, membership discounts, and bank promotions are not applicable. Cinemas reserve the right of final decision in case of dispute.

Tickets will go on sale at the box offices and websites of  cinemas from 12:00 noon on 28 September (Monday) (except for Lux Cinema, where tickets will go on sale on 30 September). Each person may purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction at cinema box offices. Online ticket purchase limits are subject to the policies of each cinema chain.
